Our history

The Original Nomadic Camps of Morocco

From mobile camps to the deserts of Morocco.

Since 1984

Over 30 years of mobile desert camps

Camel Camp has been scouting deserts since 1984. Its founder, Bernard Fabry, has run mobile camps for over thirty years.

In the early years, travelling by Land Rover, the team crossed North Africa: Algeria, Libya, Mali, Mauritania and Niger.

With growing political instability in those countries, Camel Camp settled permanently in Morocco.

Today

The spirit of mobile safaris, with simple comfort

Our camps keep the feel of the original mobile safaris while offering simple comfort in the Moroccan deserts: no permanent structures, no traffic, just the sights and sounds of the Atlas Mountains or the Sahara dunes.

Each camp sits in a distinct location with its own culture and geography, for a tailor-made desert experience.
